Renee Kessler

Managing Director, Global Fund Administration

Renee Kessler serves as Managing Director of Global Fund Administration for LaCrosse Global Fund Services. In this role, she manages a global team responsible for investor services, fund accounting,  investor accounting and financial reporting.

Kessler joined Cargill in 1981 and held several accounting positions in Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting and Corporate Financial Reporting prior to joining the Financial Markets Division in 1989 as an Accounting Manager. In that capacity, she was responsible for global financial, management and tax reporting. In 1992, she gained experience in hedge fund administration initially on the business development team for Cargill Asset Management and eventually as Administrative Manager responsible for the administration, accounting, treasury and operations supporting the assets under management. In 1995, she became Administrative Manager for Cargill Corporate Capital, a business providing growth companies with structured financing, interest rate risk management and securitization services and products. She was named Assistant Vice President of Cargill Financial Services Corporation in 1996.

In 1999, Kessler joined Cargill’s Worldwide Tax Department focused on the records retention strategy for the company. In 2001, she joined the asset management business development team for Cargill Global Capital Markets that eventually launched Black River Asset Management and Black River Global Fund Services. In 2003, she was named Managing Director for the newly organized Black River Global Fund Services, supporting the middle and back office operations of Black River Asset Management. In 2007, LaCrosse Global Fund Services launched as a spinout of Black River Global Fund Services, providing middle and back office services to the alternative investment community.

Kessler graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1980 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a CPA.
