Richard Buckland

Head of North America Operations

Richard Buckland is the head of LaCrosse Global Fund Services’ North American operations. In this role, he manages the operations team, serves as controller for the geography, evaluates internal controls to mitigate settlement risk and provides ongoing analysis and improvement of systems and procedures.

Buckland joined Cargill in 1996. He has held key management positions in accounting and financial reporting functions in the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa. His professional career spans portfolio accounting to management reporting and is coupled with external audit expertise.

Prior to joining Cargill, Buckland worked for Coopers & Lybrand in London and Johannesburg, South Africa. He earned an honors degree in Accounting at the University of South Africa. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and completed his SA Navy national service.
